Vegan Red Lentil Dahl

In this post I will be showing you how to create a vegan lentil Dahl.

Dahls are a really easy and healthy dish to create, perfect for everyone - you can not go wrong.


Ingrediants:
3/4 cups of red lentils
2 and a 1/2 cups of water
1 Bell Pepper, I used a red pepper.
Spinach
1 Onion
1 Clove of Garlic
1/4 Teaspoon of Tumeric
1 Teaspoon of medium curry powder
1 Teaspoon of Garam Masala

Optional:
Rice
Corriander

Step One: Add the lentils to 2 and 1/2 cups of water on the stove, let the lentils boil for 7 minutes and then simmer for around 5 minutes. (Chop your vegetables while your lentils are boiling)

Step Two: Boil the chickpeas in a pan for 4 minutes, once you have done that just leave them on a low heat.

Step Three: in a pan add in the onion, let this cook for a few minutes and then add your spices and toast them for a minute or two before adding in some water to create a small broth. Add in the vegetables that you wish to the broth.



Step Four: Add in the lentils and chickpeas, stir and simmer for around 5 minutes. 

Step Five: cook some rice and serve.
