Over the Christmas period both me and Ethan became quite sick with a cold bordering on flu, so on new years eve we decided to venture into the city centre. I had a parcel to collect from GAP, we wanted a look around the shops and to grab some breakfast in The Koffee Pot!

I have been wanting to come to the Koffee Pot for a while now, and finally this seemed the perfect time to come. We were greeted immediately by one of the waiters passing by and seated at a booth even though it was a little busy which was lovely! After a few minutes our server came over, He had a fantastic bubbly energy about him and was very polite, We order our food and drinks with him and waited for it too come.

The Koffee Pot is decked out like a diner, there are booths and tables for all sizes of groups, perfect for pairs or even large groups on the long tables. Overall a very accommodating space. We came for a breakfast/lunch but in the evening the cafe is transformed into a bar with a different menu, cocktails and low lighting. Not only this but The Koffee Pot are known for their events and quiz nights that they host regularly. They also have a specials board near by the bar so make sure to pop your head round and check that out! The menu is slightly different during the weekend to weekdays but will still meet your every need and cover anything that you may want!

We ordered a large bottle of water, a soy latte for me and a glass of orange juice for Ethan. The drinks were brought over quickly and the food soon followed. The orange juice came with a paper straw aswell!!

I ordered the Banana, Caramel and Walnut Pancake stack. The pancake batter they use is vegan whether the dish is vegan or not. I must admit these were some of the best, fluffiest pancakes (In the UK) I have ever had even prior to going vegan. There were three large pancakes laid out across the plate with plenty if not more than enough banana, loads of walnuts, caramel syrup drizzled all over and topped with icing sugar.  I like to have a bit of topping with each bite and believe me there was definitely enough for that! As i hit about half way through the second pancake I was beginning to feel the pinch, you really do not realise just how much they fill you up! I took a break and powered through, not a chance was I going to leave any of those delicious pancakes.

Ethan ordered the 'KP Full English'. This was sausage, bacon, hash brown, tomato, mushroom, egg and beans all served up with some toast! The serving sizes were excellent for both of our dishes. It was just the right amount!

With options that suit everyone (including gluten free) I would recommend this to anyone! Especially those nursing a hangover. I cant wait to come back for those pancakes again! The service was excellent and efficient. One improvement would be the option for a larger coffee and a few more vegan options would be fab!
